Golf Divot Tool with ball marker
Read here all about material and environment
A ball mark repair tool (also called a pitchfork or divot tool) is used to repair a ball mark (a small indentation in the green where a ball hits the ground on the approach). Some tees have such a tool on the end, purely for convenience on the green. To repair a ball mark, the tool is inserted next to the mark and gently pressed in from all sides, loosening the compacted turf and allowing the grass to quickly regrow. The mark is then smoothed with the smooth, flat bottom of the putter to level the putting surface.
